myself. How can you be hard-hearted enough to eat such a
cute dog!
B: These are farm-raised dogs. They’re specially raised to be
eaten. This isn’t the type of dog you raise at home. I couldn’t
bear to eat such a cute dog, either.
A: I won’t eat it. We should protect all dogs, no matter what
kind they are.

make a law to prohibit this kid of inhumane behavior.

B: How come you aren’t usually bothered by the cruelty of eating
chickens, ducks and fish? They’re also animals, and
they’re also alive.
A: I whole-heartedly support your principle of protecting animals.
But don’t you think it’s a little phony of you to say on
the one hand that we should protect animals, and on the
other hand to feast on fish and meat?
A: At least I have a moral bottom line! I’m leaving!
B: Perfect example of a double standard!

Aus eigener Erfahrung kann ich sagen: Hund wird weit überschätzt!
Sehe ich auch so, wer Schweine frisst, kann auch Hunde fressen- und soll sich nicht so anstellen.
Wobei ich allerdings beides hochgradig verachte... Come on, wo bleibt eigentlich die "geistige moralische Entwicklung" der Menschheit???

Ja, sicherlich macht es einen Unterschied, ob man einen saftigen Bernhardiner oder eine magere Straßentöle verspeist. Und die Zubereitungsart spielt ja auch eine große Rolle. Als geistig moralisch entwickelter Mensch verzehre ich Gemüse, das wehrt sich wenigstens nicht, wenn man es tötet und kann sich seinem Los nicht durch Flucht entziehen. Außerdem ist es weniger stressig in der Haltung.
mmh - gemüse - mmhhh- vor allem junges Gemüse. Manchmal wehrt es sich auch.
